Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, French Ultramarine, Alizarin Crimson

Old Holland and Williamsburg paints are recommended.

Medium

Hand-made mediums in 250 or 500ml recyclable plastic containers are available to order from the studio. The Beginners Medium is an alkyd\thickened linseed oil mixture. The Master Medium is a balsam\thickened linseed oil mixture

Sarum Studio Brushes

A selection of 15 Rosemary brushes chosen by artists at the studio to provide a comprehensive range with which to begin painting and form the basis of your brush collection. It includes two each numbers 2, 4 and 6 Ultimate Bristle filberts, one each numbers 2, 4 and 6 Ivory synthetic filberts, large number 12 and 14 Ultimate Bristle filberts, and 4 Eclipse synthetic mongoose filberts, all chosen for effortless handling and durability. Rosemary brushes are of a very high quality, they are excellent value, and they are hand-made in the UK.

Palette

A high quality, hand-made wooden palette - adapted from a C19th original by Nicholas Beer - is available to order from the studio. Similar to those stocked by Zecchi in Florence and Jackson's Art Supplies in London (which were also designed by Nick), they have been remodelled to be lighter in weight, with a fine, varnished finish.
